Basa Fish Fry in Butter Garlic Sauce
Ingredients
Ingredients required for basa fish marinade:
- 490 grams basa fish
- 4 cloves of grated garlic large
- 2 tbsp Butter
- 2 tsp Ginger Garlic Paste
- Sea salt- as per taste
- 3 Finely chopped green chilies
- 1/2 Lemon
- 2 tbsp flour for the marinade
Ingredients required for butter garlic sauce:
- 2 tbsp Butter
- 2 tsp olive oil
- 4 cloves of finely chopped garlic
- 3 dry chilies
- 2 spring onions chopped
- 1-2 tsp flour
- 300-400 ml water or chicken stock
- 1 tsp chili flakes
- 1 tbsp Lemon Juice
- Salt and pepper for seasoning
Instructions
- Make a marinade by mixing all the ingredients and apply to the basa fish. Keep aside for 30 mins.
- To cook the fish, lightly coat it in flour and shallow fry.
- Next up, in a saucepan, heat the butter and olive oil, add in finely chopped garlic, 3 dry red chilies, and spring onions.
- Sauté for a minute or two till the aroma and flavour blend.
- Mix in 2 tsp of flour with about 300 ml of stock or water. Let it simmer for about 10 mins and finish with chili flakes, seasoning, and a dash of lemon.
- You can add in stock/water depending upon your choice of consistency. Remember to season accordingly.
- Ladle the sauce over the fish and enjoy!
