- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 can cream of chicken soup
- 1 ¼ cups cream
- 1 pack dry onion soup mix
- 2 tablespoons Chopped fresh parsley
- 2 cloves minced garlic
- 2 cups sliced mushrooms
- ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1 cup sour cream
- cup Chopped spring onions to top the dish x ⅛ Optional
Instructions
- Take a shallow bowl or dish, toss salt and pepper into flour for seasoning, and mix. Dredge the chicken in the seasoned flour to coat it on all sides. Take a large skillet, turn the heat up and brown the coated chicken in margarine or butter until it’s golden.
- Take a medium-sized bowl to combine the soup, add half-and-half cream, garlic, dry onion soup mix, parsley, nutmeg and mushrooms. Mix the ingredients and pour it over the chicken in your skillet. Drop the heat low and let the broth simmer soak in all the goodness. Keep the skillet covered and leave on low heat for 1 hour.
- Once the flavours are nicely merged with the golden brown chicken, stir sour cream and heat throughout, but ensure that you DO NOT BOIL. Then, take the skillet off the heat, top it off with spring onions and serve with rice or noodles, or whatever pleases your loved one.
