Kerala Style Tuna Curry-Nadan Choora Meen Curry
Ingredients
- One packet of Licious Tuna Fish/Choora Meen
- 2 tbsp Red Chilli Powder/Kashmiri
- Salt - to taste
- 1/4 tbsp turmeric powder
- 1/2 cup grated coconut
- 8-10 Small Onion
- ¼ ginger
- 2 garlic cloves
- ½ tsp turmeric powder
- 2 ½ tbsp red chilli powder
- ¼ tbsp coriander powder
- ¼ tsp Fenugreek Seeds
- Tamarind pulp
- 1 tsp Mustard Seeds
- 2-3 green chillies
- 2 Spring Curry leaves
- Salt - to taste
- Coconut oil as required
Instructions
- Marinate the Choora Meen curry with red chilli, turmeric powder, and salt. Leave aside for 10-15 minutes.
- Grind the onions with grated coconut, turmeric powder, garlic, ginger, red chilli powder, fenugreek seeds, coriander powder, curry leaves, and tamarind. Add enough water to prepare a fine paste.
- Now in an earthen pot, or you can also use a pan, heat coconut oil, and then splutter mustard seeds on medium heat.
- Add curry leaves, green chillies, and ground coconut mixture, then sauté for a few minutes.
- Add 2 cups of water and salt to taste. Blend well and then cover with a lid—Cook for a few minutes. Bring to a boil.
- Add the fish that has been marinated and cook until done at medium-low heat. Swirl the pan every 5 mins.
- Fine-tune the gravy as per your consistency, and then sprinkle curry leaves and coconut oil on the top.
- Turn off the flame and keep the curry covered with a lid for 15-20 minutes to allow the flavour to set.
- Serve Delicious Tuna Fish Curry-Nadan Choora Meen Curry with hot boiled rice.
