Make Hyderabadi Mutton Masala with Essential Spices from Your Kitchen
Ingredients
- 500 gms Mutton Curry Cuts
- 3 tbsp oil
- 3 onions finely sliced
- 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
- 1 tbsp red chilli powder
- ¼ tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tbsp coriander powder
- ½ tsp Cumin Powder
- 2 Tomatoes finely chopped
- 1 cup curd
- 2 tbsp Coriander leaves chopped
- 1 tsp Mutton Masala Powder
- 1/2 tsp Garam masala powder
- salt to taste
Instructions
- In a pressure cooker, heat some oil and add sliced onions. Sauté until they turn slightly golden brown. Add the paste of ginger-garlic and sauté for a few minutes.
- Add the mutton and cook until its colour changes. Add chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, cumin powder, mutton masala and salt. Mix and cook on low flame for about 2-3 minutes.
- Add chopped tomatoes and sauté for another 2-3 minutes until they turn soft. Whisk the curd and add to the cooker. Cook until the oil is separated. Finally, add water, coriander leaves and pressure cook until the mutton is tender and well cooked.
- Reduce the flame and add garam masala. Simmer for about 2 minutes and turn off the stove.
- Garnish with finely chopped coriander leaves and serve hot with rice or roti.
