Ingredients
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp Cumin Powder
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1 tsp Kashmiri chilli powder
- 1 tsp garam masala
- 1 tsp Garlic paste
- 1 tsp Ginger Paste
- Salt - to taste
- 1 kg Chicken Curry Cut
- 4 tbsp oil
- 3 chopped onions
- 2 tsp Garlic paste
- 2 tsp Ginger Paste
- ½ tsp Cumin Powder
- 1½ tbsp coriander powder
- 1½ tsp Garam masala powder
- 1½ tbsp red chilli powder
- ½ tsp ground ginger
- 3 finely chopped Tomatoes
- water
- Chopped Coriander leaves to garnish
- Raisins and cashew nuts fried in ghee to garnish
Instructions
- In a bowl, add the cashew nuts and cover them with boiling water. Soak for about 15 minutes. Drain and blend to a smooth paste. Keep aside.

- In another bowl, add all the marinade ingredients with a little water and mix to a smooth paste.
- Add in the chicken curry cut pieces and coat the marinade well with the chicken.
- Cover and place in the refrigerator to marinate for around 30 minutes or overnight.
- Heat oil in a pan, add the chicken curry cut pieces in batches and fry until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
- In the same pan over medium-high heat, add the chopped onions and sauté for about two to three minutes until soft and golden.
- Add the ginger and garlic paste and sauté until aromatic. Add the coriander powder, cumin powder, garam masala powder, red chilli powder, and ground ginger. Sauté well until aromatic.
- Add the tomatoes and cook until the tomatoes are soft and mushy. Add ½ cup of water and simmer for around two minutes.
- Stir in the raisin and cashew nut paste.
- Add the fried chicken pieces and water. Cover and cook for around ten minutes or until the chicken pieces are cooked completely.
- Garnish with fried raisins, cashew nuts, and chopped coriander leaves.
- Serve hot!
