Recipe for Mongolian Chicken
This dish is traditionally made with chicken thighs, but we’ve used our Licious Chicken Mini Bites to make it a little lighter. You can use any cut of chicken you like, but we think the mini bites work best in this dish because they’re already bite-sized and cook quickly.

  1. Coat the chicken with cornstarch until it is evenly covered.
  2. Add some oil to a skillet and place it on medium to high heat. Fry the cornstarch-coated chicken pieces until they turn a golden brown colour. 
  3. Wrap them in a paper towel and set them aside.
  4. In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, rice wine vinegar, brown sugar, hoisin sauce, sesame oil, and ground ginger. Keep it aside. 
  5. Heat some more oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. 
  6. Add the onion and garlic and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
  7. Add the fried chicken and stir it with the onion and garlic. If you skipped frying, continue to stir the chicken for at least 8 minutes until turns brown. 
  8. Now, pour the prepared sauce over the chicken and stir to combine. Cook for 2 more minutes to allow the flavours to blend. Wait for the sauce to thicken. Serve the crispy Mongolian Chicken over rice or noodles and top with thinly sliced green onions as a perfect garnish.
