Ingredients
- 4 pieces rohu fish
- 1 tsp red chilli powder
- 3 tbsp fish oil
- 2 tsp Mustard Seeds
- 2 Black cardamom
- water as required
- 1 tsp Garam masala powder
- 1½ tsp turmeric
- salt as required
- 1 tsp Fenugreek Seeds
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1 onion chopped
- 1 tsp coriander powder

- Wash the fish pieces and pat them dry. Take a bowl and add coriander powder, garam masala powder, turmeric powder, red chilli powder and salt. Mix the ingredients. Coat the fish pieces in this mixture and keep them aside for 10-15 minutes.
- Heat some oil in a non-stick pan. Once the oil is hot, add the marinated fish pieces and shallow fry them on both sides until they turn brown.
- Take a blender and add garlic cloves, mustard seeds, fenugreek seeds and black cardamoms. Grind the ingredients into a smooth paste.
- In the non-stick pan, heat some oil. Add the mustard paste, garam masala and onions. Sauté the mixture until the onions are soft.
- Add the fried fish to the gravy and cook for 3-4 minutes on medium flame. Add a little water as required.
