  1. Preheat the oven to 160°C.
  2. Make sure the chicken is dry by gently patting it with a paper towel. Please do not wash the chicken, it comes ready to be used straight out of the pack.
  3. Take the smoked paprika, butter, garlic powder, salt and pepper together. Spread the mixture evenly over the chicken. Gently rub some of it under the skin as well.
  4. Take a small pot and put it on heat. Add lemon juice and honey to the pot and let it simmer till the honey fully dissolves.
  5. When done, remove from heat. Set it aside.
  6. Roast the chicken for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
  7. After 35 minutes of roasting, baste the chicken with the honey and lemon juice mixture.
  8. Repeat the same every 15 minutes to prevent the chicken from drying out. Instead, it will absorb all the sweet and tangy juices.
  9. Insert a knife to check if it’s cooked fully.
  10. Add more salt if needed.
  11. Serve hot!
