  1. Thoroughly wash the pomfret fish and make 2-3 deep slits on them. Mix the remaining ingredients to form a paste and coat the fish well. Set aside for at least 10 minutes.
  2. Heat oil in a pan and carefully place the fish in it once the oil is hot enough. Fry each side for about 5-6 minutes until both sides become brown and crispy. Remove and drain excess oil with the help of kitchen tissue.
  3. Squeeze some lemon juice on the fried pomfrets and sprinkle some chaat masala. Serve hot as is or along with roti.
