Instructions
Prep:
- Remove the BBQ Chicken Wings from the package and place it in a bowl.
- Toss and massage the chicken wings to refresh the marinade.
Pan-fry On The Hob (Time: 10 - 12 minutes)
- Heat a teaspoon of oil in a non-stick frying pan. Spread out the chicken wings on the surface of the pan let them char on both sides, flipping occasionally.
- Sprinkle water into the pan occasionally to retain the moisture, and put a lid on so the moisture doesn’t escape.
- When the wings are cooked, remove them on a plate and then deglaze the pan by adding some water to it and gently scraping the surface. You’ll be left with a thick, shiny sauce that you can use to coat the pieces of chicken wings before serving.
Baking in an Oven (Time: 10 - 12 minutes)
- Preheat the oven up to 180℃ or Gas Mark 4. Lightly grease a baking dish/ tray and place the wings on the tray. Pour the remaining marinade over and around the wings.
- Place the tray into the preheated oven and bake for about 7 minutes. Flip the wings over and bake for another 2-3 minutes or until done. Drizzle a few drops of oil or melted butter over the wings if you feel they’re drying out, and bake till cooked.
- Remove the cooked chicken on a plate and deglaze the baking tray by sprinkling some water on it and gently scraping the surface. You’ll be left with a thick, shiny sauce that you can use to coat the chicken wings before serving.
Grill Method (Time: 10 - 12 minutes)
- Light up your barbecue grill. Place the chicken wings on the hot grills and let them brown on both sides, flipping them occasionally. As is the case with most grilled meats, it will turn out slightly drier than the hob method.
Serving Suggestions:
- Let the Chicken Wings rest for a few minutes once cooked.
- Serve hot with with your favourite dipping sauce.
