- In a bowl, add the seasoning ingredients such as olive oil, ground cumin, paprika, dried thyme, oregano, red chilli flakes, lemon juice and salt. Mix all the ingredients well and set it aside.
- Add the pounded chicken breasts to the Cajun seasoning bowl. Now, coat the chicken breasts thoroughly with the seasoning. Then, cover the bowl with a plate or with a cling wrap. Place the bowl in the refrigerator and let the chicken marinate for 2 to 3 hours. You can even marinate the chicken overnight.
- Remove the marinated chicken from the fridge. Let it sit for a while until it comes back to room temperature. Until then, place a non-stick pan on medium-high heat. Drizzle some oil over it and place the chicken breasts onto the pan. Cook it for 10 to 15 minutes on each side. Once the chicken is cooked well, serve it hot with a side salad or potato wedges.
Recipe Tip Cook two chicken breasts at one go to avoid over-crowding in the pan. Share your version of the recipe Do you know a different way to make Cajun chicken at home? We would love to know it.
