- 500 grams Licious Chicken Curry Cut
- ½ cup curd/yoghurt
- 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
- ½ tsp Garam masala powder
- ⅓ tsp turmeric powder
- ½ tsp red chilli powder
- Salt - to taste
- 2 tbsp oil for roasting the chicken
- 2 chopped onions medium-sized
- 6-7 Cashew nuts
- 1 tbsp Oil – For Frying
- 2 tbsp oil or ghee clarified butter
- 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
- 2 tomatoes - pureed medium-sized
- ⅓ tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp Kashmiri red chilli powder
- ½ cup Milk
- 2-3 tbsp fresh cream
- ½ tsp Garam masala powder
- 1 tsp Cumin Powder
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- ½ tsp Chaat masala powder
- 1 tsp Kasuri methi
- Salt as required
- ½ cup warm water

- Making the onion-cashew paste: Heat 1 tbsp oil in a pan. Once hot, add in the cashew nuts and onions. Saute until light brown.
- 2. Turn off the flame, transfer it to the blending jar, and let it cool down.
- 3. Once cool, blend until smooth. Then set aside.
- Marinating the chicken: Combine ginger-garlic paste, red chilli powder, curd, turmeric and garam masala in a bowl. Then whisk the mixture until smooth.
- 2. Now, add the chicken pieces and mix well. Rest for about half an hour.
- Roasting the chicken: Heat some oil in the same pan used for the cashews. Once hot, add the marinated chicken pieces and roast them over medium heat for 10 minutes.
- 2. Then transfer to a bowl and set aside.
- Making Chicken Changezi: Heat ghee or oil in a pan. Add the ginger-garlic paste and saute for a minute.
- 2. Add turmeric powder, chilli powder, grated tomatoes, and salt.
- 3. Cover and cook for 7-8 minutes or until the oil separates. Keep stirring in between.
- 4. Add coriander powder, cumin powder, garam masala powder, chat masala powder, and Kasuri methi. Mix well.
- 5. Add onion-cashew nut paste, milk, and fresh cream. Stir well.
- 6. Add the roasted chicken. Mix well.
- 7. Add ½ cup of warm water. Stir to mix. Then cover and cook until the chicken is tender. Stir in between. Once done, remove from the flame.
- 9. The Chicken Changezi is ready to serve. Serve hot with some naan, paratha, or any flavoured rice of your choice.
The amount of water to use may vary depending on the size of the chicken pieces. So, add water accordingly.
