Ingredients
- 1 Whole chicken about 750-800 grams. Cut into joints. The carcass should also be included for flavour
- 4 medium onions sliced fine.
- 50 grams fresh ginger chopped fine
- 8 cloves garlic chopped
- 4 green chilies chopped.
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Kashmiri chili powder
- 1/4 teaspoon Chili Powder
- 150 ml Mustard Oil
- Salt - to taste

Instructions
- Combine ALL the ingredients in a heavy cast iron pan or a pressure cooker.
- Leave to marinate for half an hour.
- Place the pan with the chicken and marinade on high heat
- Bring to a boil then reduce the heat till the chicken just simmers. Close with a tight-fitting lid.
- If using a pressure cooker, close the lid without the weight.
- Cook on a low heat for 45 minutes.
- The chicken will cook in its own juices.
- Turn off the heat and rest the chicken for 10 minutes.
- Re-heat and serve with rice.

The best chicken recipe ever. Simplicity at its peak (luckily all the ingredients were at home and nothing exotic unlike other recipes demands) and the taste was outstanding..to top it all it was so easy with hardly any efforts.
