What are Teriyaki Chicken Wings?
Teriyaki chicken wings are luscious and crunchy pieces of chicken deep-fried in oil to yield a mouth-watering result. The origin of the dish can be traced back to Japan. When the Japanese moved to Hawaii in the 1960s, they devised a way to bring the taste of their authentic chicken to the States. Thus, these wings came into existence! They are also known as spicy sesame chicken wings.
These wings are made with an amalgamation of various hot sauces that add the much-needed spice and tang to the dish. The most special of these sauces is teriyaki sauce, made with sesame seeds and sugar. This gives a mildly sweet taste to the crispy chicken wings.
